Pro-Tactical Snap Caps

Post by Timb0 » 25 Oct 2014, 10:43 am

My partner is getting into shooting, so on her request I purchased some Pro-Tactical Snap Caps the other day, so she could practice loading and unloading some of my rifles.

When I got home from the shop I went to give them a try myself. Once feed into the chamber the cap would not extract. It did slide out when I tilted the gun back however.

I compared the caps to a live round and found they are quite different from shoulder to neck.

And I thought China was getting better.. :(

 it's definately shorter...and pink

you sure it's not a 22.250 mis labeled?

it's not long enough for the extractor to grab it when it's chambered, anyway take and get it replaced

No chance of getting it mixed up with a live one at least.

Ring Michael or Dave, they'll more than likely give you a new set for nicks and a few extras for your worries!!!!!
I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

I have just purchased a pair of these for my 22-250 and had the exact same problem! Fractionaly smaller in diameter, (maybe a millimeter) and about 3-4 mm shorter in length! Doesnt extract at all, have to tip the gun up to get it out!

Just cheap s**t, Just use a fired case and punch out a piece of hard rubber and glue it in the primer hole and seat whatever old projectile you have laying around.
