Yikes, Albat, definitely a BIG NO, NO as far as I'm concerned.
We have a lovely group of children following around high end vehicles, like BMW cars, breaking in to the homes and stealing them and posting on Facebook FFS!

low profile for me....
Boom, Boom! Tikka, Tikka, Boom! Shoot first, video later.

I bought one of these from Bunnings
https://www.bunnings.com.au/rhino-1200- ... e_p5810603

Bit of chain to attach it to the ute. Couple padlocks on the box. Will hold a dozen rifles plus gear. Waterproof. And easy to remove when you are not using it.

I put some castor wheels on one end so I can pick it up from the opposite end and wheel it around.

Great for range days as I can wheel the whole thing up to the bench.

I saw this in bunnings today. Too short for some of the big target rifles but plenty of hunting rifles would fit

George Taylor stores used to have a specific Ute rifle box, almost like a safe. Have not seen them recently. I just use whatever toolbox I have bolted down at the time.
