To "battle"

Pointless rant here I guess  ;)

I'll admit to start I haven't got much time for the 'tacticool' stuff.

Looking at an ad for versa-pod tripods in the mag, you can buy the pack with interchangeable feet. Not just tripod feet though, no no, it's a "Battle Pack"

Comes in a camo pouch too!

Just venting, sorry.

P.S. not knocking the pods. No idea about them, could be great for all I know.

I'll see your Rant and raise you one.
It's the marketing department.
Normally filled with university degrees in commerce who have absolutely no idea about the product talking to advertising people who have just as many degrees but even less knowledge over a “latte” and convincing the management who just want to know how many $’s it makes that this will “really appeal” to the market.
Market research shows that 70%+ of discretional spending is influenced by 8-14 year olds, hence the word Tacticool (hate that word)
Same as anything with a scope is a “SNIPER” rifle.
There's always room for at least one more gun in my safe.

Since our illustrious allies entered the sandy part of the world you could safely say anything that used to be black and has now been cerakoted desert tan or coyote.
Or something that's overly heavy and overscoped should pretty much cover it. Everything else is a machine gun don't you know :sarcasm:

And why is every other Kawasaki called a Ninja? Word lost all credibility when u can buy a Ninja in almost any engine capacity. Sorta like putting a shot gun on a canoe and calling it a battleship. The marketing dept is daycamp for tards where they can associate with the personality deficient from accounting.
Time to breathe, relax & repeat....

Well here I am doing my Xtreme Socialmediaing (new word also the province of advertising)
What’s a sniper rifle? any rifle in front of a sniper, it's an action not an object. :problem: But then again I've got a Target rifle does that make me a Targeter? Does it change shape and become a Hunting rifle when I point it at game?
I heard someone one, possibly a reporter, listing a cache of guns, every mis-description you could think of but the one that made me laugh was an "AUTOMATIC" Machine Gun
Does that mean I can buy a MANUAL Machine Gun on my a/b license. :D
Funny thing is talk to most of the marketing crowd outside the office and most admit they are in the BS game and the best BS artist wins.
I can’t really understand that.
Then again I can’t really understand advertising in general, I guess it must work, the marketing department keeps telling me it does and they keep getting a bigger budget every year.

Must use buzz words to stay employed in IT this month.
"Cloud", "LEAN", "Robust", "H.A", "Kanban", "Hybrid Cloud", "Cloud Strategy", "Compute layer", "Virtualised Workload"...wanna make the big bucks in IT then learn the words, love them and use at least 1 or 2 in every sentence.

If you had a couple more anagrams in there I could have sworn you worked in the public health or foreign aid sector Brett.

In a former life I was surrounded by AHC and AFP expats (whenever they could drag themselves from their armed guarded razor wired compounds that is)

If they couldn't put at least 3 anagrams and 5 workplace specific made up words into a sentence the others would look at them funny

Why is it called a "BATTLEPACK"?
Well, when you wave your credit card over the "Molle Nylon Digital Multi Cam Pouch" (included) it goes KA_BOOM! and blows the credit card to bits and at only $535 DOLLARS !!
See, simple! :sarcasm:
