Well she rings now

Post by deye243 » 25 May 2015, 6:39 pm

well she rings a lot better now for some reason , got sick of waiting for the old setup to drop on

the ground so went and cut some red box trees up for "posts" and this is what we finished up

with but it was late and my son and i only put 7 rounds in it and does it ring LOUD now .

so will have to go and have a look tomorrow and see where we hit it .

Nice one D, once you get that AR500 it should really ring well too and you shouldn't have to replace that in a hurry.

Hearing gongs ring just never gets old! :-)
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

that old thing has done 544000 ks and still beats the 2.8 luxs not that that is a big statement

anyway there is enough rust in the tub the bullets will just fly straight through and rust is lighter

than carbon fibre

I've found that hanging the gongs from rope/wire/cable reduced the ring a fair bit. Seems to swing/stretch cleanly away muffling it a bit.

Hang it from chains and the gone seems to jump/jangle when struck and give you a good *ping*.
