Bore guide

Post by Historical » 31 Jan 2016, 4:51 pm

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone knew of any bore guides that do suit the lee enfield family, specifically the no.5 jungle carbine. Though from my knowledge they should be mostly universal across the different numbers.

If it comes to it I'll make my own from some pvc or something, but due to time constraints at the moment if anyone knows of a brand that does suit, it'd be far easier for me.

Thanks guys!

G'day Historical,
NSW Rifle Assoc sell them for $35, contact SARA, they may have them also. Bankstown Gunshop have some for $50, think they were PBC or some name like that. Don't be conned into shelling out heaps of dough for the Pro-Shot 303-375 cal guide, whilst it will fit a P14, it won't fit the Lee actions. Cheers.

Hey Mk3,
Thank you very much for the info it is much appreciated. Was coming up very short looking through google searches. Will check in with the SARA and if not I'll definitely source one from NSWRA. Cheers again for the help mate!

I thought this was a pretty good DIY option.

Cheers RealNick,

I ended up getting a possum hollow one from hinterlands just for time convenience.

But that is a good guide you've found and will certainly be doing that as I need one in another caliber and will have to the time to make one this time.

Cheers for the info mate!

I have several DIY,

if you need one quick, find a new nozzle off a large tube of silicon or gap sealer, cut it to suit.

They're usually at Bunnings when you get something (at mine anyway).

Boxes of the things mounted next to the caulking stuff for customers.
