How do I buy a trigger from the US?

Post by Boo » 31 Oct 2016, 7:54 pm

Need a trigger which I have not found for sale in Australia but I'm assuming that parts like that require paperwork to get. The trigger is readily available in the US, what's the best way to get one and what's involved? Thanks muchly.

If you're in Qld you'll need their form.

What trigger are you after? Most things can be found in Aus but figuring out who has them or imports them is the problem. If you put what it is up here someone may know.

Brownells won't sell you things like triggers, magazines, etc though without the import permits?

All I did was email them asking if they could get the trigger for me and it went from there, all done on line within the day and nothing more from me other than the usual info required when buying anything. I guess they they will be doing the paperwork to get the parts through Customs, about ten days total they say. Obviously they have sorted the legalities out and so are able to offer a great service at a reasonable price.

I'm not sure they can do the Customs documentation without input from you?
Let us know if it arrives, I want to get some triggers myself :-)

To complete this thread I'll post up all the details in due course, nothing more annoying than when a thread is left unfinished.

@Bladeracer....it was Brownells Australia so they have all the permits in place in the background like any other local distributer. I've got so mags on order with them and hopefully should have them late next week :)

Trigger arrived the other day, as all Brownell's stuff is sourced from the US they can get you pretty well anything there. Biggest delay is, you guessed it, Aussie Customs or Border Force or whatever they are today.
