Glasses

Post by TheGreenwolf » 23 Mar 2017, 5:29 pm

where can i buy some good but cheap shooting glasses that look ok. (not top end)

not super concerned for looks but would prefer that i dont look like im welding.

ideally i would like to pay $50 to $70 if they doubled as sunnies then that would be great also.

is there a website that has alot of different ones to look at? or maybe a few that are sunnies but are rated ok.
or somewhere in the ACT region.

i know no one is really going to check but just in case a stray casing or blob of greese does hit me in the face i would like to be protected.

thanks in advance.

xhunter_au on eBay generally has good and very reasonably priced stuff. I recall seeing glasses there.

Just go to a workplace safety shop such as protector all safe. Normal safety glasses provide a high level of protection.

Glasses as in tacticool operator sunnies or glasses so you don't cop hot spent cases in the eyes? I never shoot with eye protection unless i'm in some serious sh"t

Bunnings do mad sunnies/safety glasses in all sorts of shapes/sizes/designs and they're fairly cheap

+1 for these. I never used to wear glasses when shooting until I had a case rupture and the blow back gave me a black eye and a cheek full of soot.

Bunnings is a great source of cheap safety glasses or there are Bolle safety glasses available that can be fitted with prescription lenses. I have a set of the Bolle glasses set up with the focal point set at the front sight of my pistols that work well.

Good. But just a tip. With cheap ones the pads often don't last long and the level of protection drops.
