Any one interested in a dedicated ammo cabinet/sa

I converted a fireproof data safe into a ammo cabinet, but ended up with something else instead. In Brisbane.

Not sure where the dedicated forum for the equipment exchange is.

What's the dimensions, construction and how much do you want for it? If I was local to you I'd be interested but I'm at the other end of the country.

Dimensions could be seen in the pictures. It is made of sheet metal and in between filled with sand or maybe something else fireproof. Six bolts locking. Digital keypad.

I'd want about $200 for it to recover my costs.

I can hold it for some time. A couple of weeks I suppose if necessary. Subject to prepayment.

Can't make out the dimensions on pics. Do you know how thick the steel is?

Personally I would NOT use this to store large amounts of powder or ammo.
It seems to be insulated so that's a big plus. But.... if there was an ignition there would be nowhere for the gasses to vent, creating high pressure within the safe, effectively creating a bomb. How much ammo was stored would have a bearing on this and the out come.

Light weight containers are more suitable as they split open or expand before pressure increases to a dangerous level.
Adding some sort of vent would greatly reduce the risk. But this could be problematic.

As an example an office filing cabinet or light weight tool box would be preferable.

Just saying.

PS. Not sure of the requirements but might make a good pistol/hand gun safe.

It is 82 x 52 x 52 cm externaly, and internally the compartment is 67 x 38 wide and x 32 deep.

I'd estimate the gague of the external metalwork is about 2 mm. It feels quite solid, although I don't have an opening anywhere to measure the thickness of the body with presition.
The internal metal walls are quite soft and thin. I had no problems to drill to fit the studs for the shelves.

It is closing tight, but not airtight I think. Adding vent holes should be reasonably easy if so inclined.
