Ok, maybe not finished as sexy as the Real thing but at $80 and not $450, i'm not complaining. Works quite well; i even used it for f-class for a while before i got a proper f-class jobby. I still use it for F-class hunter/varmint category.

edit: oops, forgot the link! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/atlas-bipod- ... Swy3NZYuUG

PS: extendable from 6-12".

more edits: same thing for $35! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4-75-9-Folda ... 2242059831

Thanks for that link. I just bought one. For $35 delivered, I'll try it.

Glad to help, guys. :)
I actually ended up pulling mine apart when i got it and gave it a little tickle here and there and then putting it all back together with loctite. It works. I had never used a bipod before but with a little practice i was shooting 1/2 MOA groups. Really likes a little forward loading and getting that consistent seems to be the key, for me at least.

I bought a bipod on 308 from eBay. Very impressed with the quality. It works very well.

Have a couple of knock off Harris style bipods, I am very impressed with them, so to continue with that, eBay to the rescue... Picked up this little guy or rather received in the mail (Atlas style bipod). Looks good. Feels excellent and very solid. Need to torture test it.

As above, mate, those Atlas clones benefit from disassembling, a little tickle with abrasive here and there, and putting back together with a bit of loctite. I also tricked mine a touch to increase cant, tilt and pan capability.
Works pretty good.

I have two, one on 223 and the other on 308. Very impressed with the quality. I had the same one on 17HMR too, works very well.

If you are shooting from the booth (Springvale) - you want 6"-9"

I have one on my howa, its good but the tension lever is a bit sub par.
