There is plenty of information around on the dangers of Dry Firing A Rimfire and what happens when the firing pin hits the hard steel surface of the rifle chamber instead of the soft brass rim of a cartridge case. Firing pin difference for a 22LR/22 Mag/17 HMR... Never heard of it. Maybe someone should tell Sako and CZ with their Switch Barrel Rimfire Rifles...
