quail, pheasant and partridge

Hi guys, I am keen on getting into hunting the above animals. I have shot Quail but not the other 2. I have a sporter with choice of chokes and also a sxs 20Ga incase the hunt is strictly old school. I am in Wodonga but happy to go anywhere within 3/4hours if it’s a good spot. Also what are the fees like and how many can you shoot?

Hi Mate, Quails are game birds and are found in Victoria during season. on the other hand pheasant and partridges are only found in private properties who breed them for hunting. Usually they charge something like $80 per bird they release for you in their private property which in my opinion is not hunting at all. I can help you with ducks if you like?

Two places in Victoria, no prices but they say a lot of time and effort go into it, you can have beaters or dogs, $80 bucks a bird i like birds but for $80 bucks ill just stay with the missus
