Agricultural License Victoria?

G'day,

Fairly new hunter here. Looking at the GMA maps and the More to Explore maps, there is a category of hunting area called "Sambar Deer - Agricultural Licence - Hunting - Stalking - Gundogs and Deer Hunting Dogs Permitted"

I can't find anything about it on Google. Does anyone know what this means? Are we allowed to hunt in these areas or is there a special license category that's required?

I have no idea. Searching Google and GMA gets nothing so I've emailed them for clarification.

This is SF/public land that is currently leased, usually by a farmer or pine forrest. (The leasee)

You need permission from the farmer to hunt there.

You do need to be careful going to new areas based on that app.

Tap on the area you want to hunt.
Then tap on the bar at the bottom where the name of the SF is along with the list of game.
You can then see any additional requirements such as if it's leased.

Thanks for that. Sounds like a bit of a hassle so will steer clear of those areas for now.
