From ADA this morning:

"SNOWY RIVER & ERRINUNDRA NATIONAL PARK WIN!

This morning, the Victorian Minister for Environment & Outdoor Recreation, The Hon. Steve Dimopoulos, announced that, as a result of years of ongoing advocacy efforts from the Australian Deer Association, the Victorian government will open up both the Snowy River and Errinundra National Parks to seasonal recreational deer hunting (stalking).

This is an incredible achievement by the Australian Deer Association that builds upon our legacy of unlocking public land for recreational deer hunting in Australia and is made possible by your ongoing, loyal support as a member.

On behalf of the Australian Deer Association, thank you.

Legislation is planned to pass parliament later this year and will result in up to 321,000 acres of public land previously closed to recreational deer hunters being opened in 2026.

Thank you to both the Premier, Jacinta Allan, and the Minister for Environment and Outdoor Recreation, Steve Dimopoulos, for their ongoing engagement and support for recreational deer hunters and public land access issues.

Be sure to check out our social media and leave a like and comment to help us celebrate this."

Good stuff.

One less hiding place for the mega stags
