Nothing too complicated about getting blasted and the amount of blasts were quickly limited (supposedly)

From a rifle of any cal, with the blast pointed forward, there will be no effect on anyone behind wearing hearing protection appropriate for gunfire.

After being smashed in the face from rear vented breaks at about 3 feet at an indoor range, I didn't need to be the sharpest tool in the shed to conclude it was not the safest place to be for my health.

The trend at that time for the precision 50m mall rangers was short barrelled tactical 300WM rifles so I presume that is what I copped and the piece of ply-wood is not positioned forward enough to protect one from the blast.
I tried a few more times before deciding to not return after an RO talked to one about clearing everyone from the range, I have NFI what that one was.

Perhaps, you should re-read your posts to see incorrect assumptions and blanket statements.
