Game hunting and large prey. Deer stalking, hunting with hounds. Boar, pigs etc., large prey, culling, hunting large feral animals.

Has anybody hunted in the Pokolbin state forrest?
What game did you expect to see or hope to see?
Did you see any and were you successful?
My son is proposing to go there but I suspect it will be a wasted effort as the place is probably overhunted being so close to the Newcastle region.

Ha, Back in the day we used to carry out army exercises in there; aw plenty of dingoes but not much else. No doubt it's changed a bit.

I would think some of the really tough to get to fringe country holds deer, i know some of the vineyards in the area have a few deer issues, but the SF itseldf is full of 4x4's and trail bikers most weekends, but if you live nearby its probably worth a look
