Droppings/scat/poop identification

Post by Oldbloke » 05 Sep 2019, 8:50 am

Thought i would start a new thread on this subject.

Any ideas what this is? Plenty of good pasture nearby. Found in SF. Looks like dog but green inside too. Perhaps pig? Fox whistle for size.

The wombats here virtually always poo on something, sticks, rocks, logs, etc - they just don't seem to like pooing on open ground, a bit like blokes that always pee against something :-)

I agree, too fat for fox or cat, but could be big dog perhaps that's eaten something it shouldn't have. I'd lean toward wombat myself.

That's a funny one, my first thought was a fox that's been hitting the vegetarian food or eaten a vegetarian's stomach contents.

While I'm not certain about what dumped it I'm pretty sure how it was laid.
Looking at the shape, you can tell his knees were shaking getting the first fat, hard, lumpy should've taken that s**t a few hours eirler bit out and his sphincter was relieved af to cut it off at the finishing end,. Had it left prints the first few steps after that cable was laid would've been short ones before he broke into a normal stride

Another things for sure, that whistle is dangerously close.

I reckon it's from a drop bear a close cousin to the koala bear it looks as though it dropped from slight height hence the thickness on one end and the taper on the other where he has snapped it off before it dragged him from the branches ''Yep'' that's it  :unknown: ;) :) :D

First time I saw emu poo it took me a while to understand how it could possibly look that way, until I realised how far it was in freefall :-)
