First pig rifle was a 223 with a 3-10. Didn't like it.
Got a 30-30 with a 2-7.
Better but no good in thick stuff.
Lastly 45-70 with Red Dot. Mwah ha ha!!!
Seems to work OK
Is an understatement

Thats why I thought it might be a rule or regulation rather than a law.
Lever actions are required to participate in western/single action style matches to facilitate in the appearance and theme of the old west. Different calibers are required to partake in different aspects of the theme as the style and cartridge of the firearm changed over time from the advent of Winchesters 44-40 in 1873 to the 30-30 in 1895. I require various caliber rifles as a spare if parts are required to fix one of my rifles during a stage.

If he'd bothered to read my comments properly,I dont even want a lever action lol. And I've already had enough issues trying to register a 303 when I've got a 358w, 35 whelen,308,etc.

Yes. I know I complain about how bad it is but Queensland(and NT) are the best of the bad.
Its actually unlimited as no number is mentioned in the legislation. The 30 relates to storage. If you have more than 30 A,B,C,D OR 30 H firearms part 21 of the weapons regulation does not apply and you have to follow part 20.
So because it says “or”(see above in bold) you can have 30 A,B,C,D and 30 H firearms for a total of 60 without having to having to follow part 21.

animalpest wrote:The .44 mag is great on pigs up close . My personal favourite was the Ruger semi-auto but lost that one to the gun buy back.
A 240gr slug at moderate velocity sure beats a .243 when it comes to performance in the thick stuff. Quicker recovery means more hits than a 45/70
And with 11 shots you can give a mob of pigs hell.

Red goes faster.
Pigs cant see green ones coming. Camouflage!!
See you hardly notice the bullets!
