Sit Down and Deer Hunt

Spend some time scouting. Work out where to sit.
Wait a bit, shoot a lot. Almost bagged out with a Sambar but I got out of the chair too early

yes sitting in ambush is a great way to hunt them. I mainly bowhunt with a recurve so picture doing it having to get a shot inside 20m. changes everything.

same here for fallow. there are clearings and dense bush, that's it. can't stalk them in either. With a rifle you can sit and shoot the clearing but with a bow you must find funnels and trails between bedding and feeding areas and hope your sitting there during the one time a week they walk past that spot. ha ha

I picture somewhere of me throwing pebbles at a deer to get rid of it as I was waiting for pigs. I'll see if I can dig it out.

That is a area that they funnel through I don't have a feeder set up on this spot.
Most of the time if a feeder is used its corn
Sugar beets and carrots are used a lot in my area and I do put beets out
