Deer hunting in Yea, Victoria

Looks like I might soon have access to a property in Yea for camping and hunting

Plenty of foxes and rabbits up there like you'd expect, I dunno about deer though.

Any of you fellas locals? Get many deer up that way?

Still for for the camping side of things and cleaning up some varmints. But a deer wouldn't hurt either

There are some... Wanderers from the Black Range state forest and Toolangi state forest.

There is the national park and another state forest on the west side too. Forget what they're called...

Depends where you're friends property is too.

If he's on the edge of town closer to the forests he'll have better chances than if he's smack bang in the middle and the deer have to cross half a dozen other properties before they reach him.

His neighbours might beat you to it

I know a couple of blokes with a property up there. They get a few a year.

Apparently they get Deer in Kinglake, so they most likely have them around Yea.

There are definitely some around Yea, Lacey.

My hunting mates and I have taken a couple of Fallow out there.
