Target species Otways

Hi All,
Been doing a bit of recon lately in the otways (state forest). Have heard stories of deer and pigs but yet to find any. Any tips on tracking some down? E.g terrain type, time of day etc.

It's mainly Fallow deer around the Otways area and a few pigs have been spotted . 2 maps of where pigs and deer have been spotted in Vic. in the past .

There was a large mob of pigs recently around the Mt. Mercer - Dereel area [Victoria] until most were terminated - there may be one left. Local farmers are relieved to have got rid of the pigs, but also the drongos in their utes who cut fences, opened locked gates with bolt cutters and generally caused mayhem chasing the porkers. A couple of years ago there was another large mob on a property near mine, but the farmer got a professional pest controller in who got rid of them.
