Reducing The Numbers

Spent the last week or so in Western Qld doing a fair bit of culling. Among other things we have cleaned up a fair few foxes and cats and a lot of pigs. Lots about.

Thinking about that area at the moment. Some districts like Cunnamulla had good rain last year, and some in Feb this year, so conditions for pigs were good. Used to have a regular property to hunt on at Cunnamulla which was excellent, but sadly not any more as it was sold.

In fact good seasons since the beginning of 2020. Those pigs look like they were born during good times after the drought of 18-19 broke.

Ended up with 29 pigs. Roo numbers are insane. Never seen anything like it in 50 years of shooting.

Geeze mate, noting stops you, good job.
Blr's comment on the roos, yes, there's so many. Driving here at night you will guarantee to need to take a finisher bat with you.

But not to worry, the coming super-drought will sort them out. The roos will be dying of starvation and thirst by the mega-thousands by the beginning of summer coming.
Where will the environmentalists be then?
