One for the more experienced hunters than me (all of you probably )
A side shot to the hind area, gut shots etc. all bad as no vitals there. I know this.
If you come up behind at animal at a distance though and are looking straight down him, would that still be an acceptable shot to take for humane hunting?
Say pigs and deer size, deer hunting minimal calibre here in Victoria is a .270 win. Would a shot to the rear with a .270 and up go far enough through to hit some vitals for a humane kill or is there too much in the way?
I haven't done it, just asking.
