I can make the same argument with kangaroos. My oldies own a 100 acre block on a stretch of highway 20km long with all the blocks that size. Everyone gets roos come up close to the road because of dams but no one shoots them because they are seen as pets by most people. The end result is a 20km stretch of road kill and a lot of accidents involved.

Bit dated isn't it?

How old is 45-120 sharps now? Must be more powerful recent stuff.

Is that repro or the real deal? Original Sharps bringing big coin these days.
Now that's been said, who's coming for a shot?

Still hard hitting.

A hundred and something grains of black powder behind a 500gr bullet.

At long range you're probably be better off with something with better ballistics, but at 100-200 in your average deer hunt it's not going to matter. Dead deer all day with one.

Wash your chamber out with soap young man! The Sharps is an excellent deer rifle - if they can nail a buffalo a thousand yards I don't think a deer will stand up long :-)
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.
