Like it says...

How long do you guys freeze meat from hunted animals compared to bought stuff?

Any shorter?

Slaughterhouse stuff I guess is done in a way to last a bit longer. Some preservative process?

Do you have less time to eat hunted game?

Meat is weeks old, if not months by the time it's sold in your average supermarket.

I'll take the fresh game meat for shelf life thanks.

The better you can keep it in the field the longer it'll last.

Keep it dry and cool and get it home quick, no problems.

Heat and moisture and a long weekend hanging up before you go home, different story...

Get yoursefl a vacume seal machine - sunbeam make a decent one cost abot $200.00 and the bags are about $25.00 for 100 or so but if you shop around you will probably get a better deal. The bags save the meat from freezer burn and I have strored meat vacume sealed for 4 months no probs. Write the date on the bags and you're good for some months.

Like VIC said.

Keep the bacteria at bay until you get home and it's business as usual.

Free it for a couple of months no worries.

I've had plenty in their for 3-4 months with no drama.

In a regular chest freezer.
