Canada vs Africa - What's it going to be?

Post by Granting » 21 Sep 2014, 4:12 pm

Early days yet, but laying the groundwork for a "holiday" if the missus asks.

Better know as a hunting trip when I'm thinking about it :D

A few blokes will have been to Canada for sure. Anyone to Africa?

Costs etc. still pending but loving both ideas. Can only afford one though  And will be our only trip for years to come.

Where to go, what do to...

I dunno anything about the costs, but for hunting Africa has to be king doesn't it?

Don't have to go all the way to Canada for deer :P

Africa seems real problematic at the moment.

What should be an amazing trip seems to end in an expensive head ache for a lot of guys.

People getting ripped off or having trophies stolen or "lost" when they try to ship them back after they've returned home.

That's just what I read though, if you could organise a smooth trip it would be amazing.

I worked and hunted in Canada many years ago, have a black bear on my floor, sorry I have never been to Africa.
Canada is amazing, and the North West above Fort St John has some of the most remote and picturesque country on the planet. Just blow your mind!
This time of year (Fall for them) on Horseback in the mountains hunting Bear, Moose, Elk, White Tail.......oh man.....and the people are the best.
No wonder their anthem is "O Canada!"

Careful....you will leave part of your heart there.
Now that's been said, who's coming for a shot?

Africa will have its perks but I'm a big fan of Canada as a whole.

Hope to live there some day.

I'll take Canada just on principle :D
