Hey guys,
I've been looking at getting a deer rifle for awhile now. I know that a .308 would be ideal , but the property I'd be shooting on isn't large and in any case I don't like the idea of using too long range a calibre anyway. Would a .300blk be a possible alternative? It has less range ( So I won't accidentally shoot the neighbours ) and I'd imagine it'd take a fallow deer down. Anyway, what do you guys think? Is it a good idea?
