Music at hunting campsite bad?

Post by RealNick » 03 Dec 2014, 7:31 am

Might be over thinking this one but...

On a hunting trip, any harm in playing some tunes at the campsite at night?

Reckon the "strange sounds" send everything away hurting your chances in the morning?

If you've got the subbie pumping death metal 150dB all night - I'd say the wildlife may clear off for miles......
else a bit of 'music' at a reasonable level shouldn't hurt

I'd prefer to hear the sounds of the night rather than play commercially produced music when I'm away.

Unless I'm with folks who like to make their own music, which happens occasionally depending whose around.

You never know what might come right into camp if you are quiet, I've seen foxes, cats and even had a mob of goats come right in close.

I like to keep quiet in camp if there is even half the chance of having a visitor and save the tunes for the road.

Play the music!!!
I had a goat come up to my swag on the Koroit Opal field's C.P. and P*ss over/in it. Yes I was in it at the time, and the @#$)(* aimed through the window at the end too. I'd still like to go back there and see if I could find him outside town limits, although I guess noone would have minded me running it over in town, there were at least 3 bucks wandering around the streets.

Only if it's from a harmonica or a banjo!
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

I play Nicki Minaj at my campsite and I find that any animals in a 500m radius had committed suicide
