Woman's hunting clothes colours

Post by melanie » 06 Jan 2015, 1:24 pm

Hi guys,

I'm looking at some camo clothes and a lot of the small woman's sizes (or kids size for me half the time) are typical girly colours like pink and baby blue.

I guess that's ok and most of the animals are colour blind?

Just checking before I buy the wrong thing.

Thanks.

I would just buy the normal camouflage colours in green or brown appropriate to the colour of the vegetation in the the area you are hunting in.

Might pay the wear a blaze orange hat or cap as well in case trigger happy people are around.
Browning BL-22 lever action...open sights
T3 Varmint .204 Ruger...Meopta Meostar 4-16X44
T3 Lite .30-06 Sprg...Aimpoint Hunter 1X red dot

....that will do me

You could always get a Ghillie suit :)

Also matching rifle to go with pink outfit. Hunting is hunting, out in the back of Bourke, and then some. Just wear normal camouflage gear and as someone wrote, a hi viz vest or hat.
That way you will feel part of the hunt and others cannot cast stones. Sorry about the matching rifle, be safe and no-one will laugh at you.

Or just an ordinary flanny shirt and green work pants.
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

Only a legal requirement in one of our states I believe. New South Wales.

A "blaze orange" hat or vest is required.

No such requirements in the rest of the country AFAIK.

Size is often the problem, I'm quite small.

Will check out Aussie Disposals though :)

That's it.

The colour is less important than avoiding large blocks of it.

Like the shape of a T-shirt against the bush.

Or a perfectly straight line of a rifle barrel.

It's just about breaking yourself up so you don't stand out.
