Sambar in summer

I know why I don't hunt for them in summer, you only have a few hours from sunrise to have any hope of finding them. I called at quits at about 9.00 AM on each day.

I'm still a bit new to all this.

Sunrise is when they get up you find? Or some time before?

Still learning what works best for the deer.

At sun rise they are about to go to sleep again...they have been up all night.

But they are constantly alert...thinking of the times when threatened by tigers in India.

A very cunning animal.

I wouldn't go into the high country without my chainsaw. Would hate to get stuck knowing it was at home.

Might have a look in a local area about 10 minutes from home tomorrow. It's a legal deer hunting area...just have to get up about 4.30 AM, I have issues with getting up early.

I woke up...turned the alarm off...and went straight back to sleep again.
