"Low moral fibre"

Post by Aussier » 27 Mar 2015, 10:18 am

Encountered an anti this morning and heard a new one.

I've now been informed that as a hunter I am of "low moral fibre"

So that's a new one for the list.

Given that theres a good chance that her forefathers also hunted to put food on the table.....

She's from similarly low moral-fibred stock. :drinks:

Honestly, I think humanity reached a peak in evolution, several decades ago, and with the dawn of environmentalism, with an emphasis on the mental-ism, its all down hill until a serious correction enters our society.... yes, bit heavy for this time of the evening.

A few shooters posting on the Ozpolitic forum, the owner of that site was against shooting he even asked if I have a VB in one hand and a gun in the other when I shoot,i cited the legislation that said zero blood alcohol,he has changed his opinion on shooting and thinks it's the best method for dealing with ferals.

I have it under control,no need for any help there, here is a recent thread on hunting with ooh aah Glenn McGrath and someone going very quiet after claiming duck hunting is immoral.

Baron... why would you inhabit that leftist cesspit?? you know you can not win with those half-wit-supermarket-fridge-meat-no-animal-was harmed retards...
The lion trophy ban by the Australian government defies logic.... consider the WORLD got together back in the 70's (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) and decided that controlled hunting of lion was ok, subject to export permit....which Australia ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD ACCORDING TO CITES AGREED TO!!!

Now.....40 odd years later Australia (Mr Hunt, ironic name  ) decides they know better than the world, not to mention the nations with the lions.....

Me.... I think if there are no LIONs in Australia.... then 'we' can not possibly legislate for them...

I take on quite a few people with hunting, internet forums can be good because they cannot hide from what they type.

I think it's more productive than preaching to the converted here, that said I don't mind hearing stories others have in educating those who have open minds.

The big guns have arrived.

There is a lot of ignorance there it's getting better,Lionel is a 20+year f class shooter who hand to hand in a pump action shottie,John smith and aussie are both probationary Cat H after trying pistol shooting,Emma and PZ4545 are women who would like to have a gun for home defence and knocking off small critters.

There were some aussies on the sailinganarchy forum trying to tell Americans they should copy our gun laws, one of them claimed we only banned the guns used in mass shootings,i pointed out BB and airsoft guns were banned as well in 1996 and could he cite any mass shootings done with bb or airsoft guns.
A few of the Americans there were stunned we have banned slingshots as well, the last aussie posting there is called Random and they call him Randumb.

Well, I did have a look, and I have to say that Baron did good job standing up to the nutcases and shrill guardians of the wildlife. Unfortunately most of the stuff they come up with is uncheckable and therefore inaccurate. I won't join because there's a good chance of becoming very rude and anyway it matters little what we say they will continue to hatch plans to save the spotted red nosed tit over copious amounts of Soy Latte and a nice low calorie rice cracker. Arguing with these people is like mud wrestling with a pig,; pointless and anyway the pig enjoys it.

You could always fry their brains by asking why they aren't directing the same pent up anger against the ritualistic slaughter of millions of animals disguised as a religious belief.
(edited to add) not saying the practice is right or wrong, just saying that the moral dilemma posed by the question should short circuit the anti's tiny brains.

That’s assuming they had brains to fry.
They wouldn't believe you any way, they have a very good reality filter.
