Game hunting and large prey. Deer stalking, hunting with hounds. Boar, pigs etc., large prey, culling, hunting large feral animals.

link above is a thread i started on the build

It's currently a 223. Smith will machine the bolt face and true action, chamber the barrel and fit. :thumbsup:

The barrel from the 223 is being rechambered to a 223SHORT variant and stuck onto a trued Zastava M85 left hand action. Will be a short heavy barreled rifle for pest control shooting 40gn varmint rounds at around 3000fps. :drinks:

Went up to about 4000' altitude along the West Kiewa Fire Trail today. It was freaking very cold. More snow coming down up higher around the local ski resort. A few tree rubs around but no deer to be seen. Early days...plenty of time.
