VIC DEER HUNTERS

Post by ToyotaBoy » 31 Jul 2015, 10:45 am

hey guys
the answer is to obvious for me to see. i thought we were'nt allowed to hunt in national parks but have been reading in several articles lately about people hunting sambar deer in the "ALPINE NATIONAL PARK". i thought we were'nt allowed to hunt in national parks, only state forests. does this mean i can hunt in lets say "kinglake national park" for example.
cheers for anyone who can exlpain this to me

happy hunting and shoot straight :drinks:

Have a look at the game management website. You are allowed to deer hunt in some national parks, not in most of them though, during hunting seasons etc.

Broadly speaking you're right... You're allowed to hunt in state forests and not in national parks or forests.

There are a few exceptions of the national variety during specific seasons however.
