Yeah, it was pretty good. I ran out of episodes, though.

Just finished seasons 5 & 6, highly recommended, Steve Rinella is an intelligent guy and an ethical hunter, a great ambassador for hunting as a legitimate passtime and way of life.
It is also very refreshing to watch a show like this that isnt a half hour commercial like so many locally produced outdoors shows :cough: iFish :cough:
Also think it has helped my missus understand why ive gone missing so many weekends this year.

Cos you've missed the others I would say. I wouldn't mind watching the earlier ones either.

Ahahahaha that was me over the weekend!

I hope Netflix re-release seasons 1 to 4 for us to catchup on.
If you need a fix you can check out his MeatEater podcast which is really good too, there is a lot of focus on the management of game and land on a state by state level which may bore some Australians but I find fascinating, it is so well organised over there and taken very seriously, unlike here where you often ask stupid questions like "why is that duck protected" or "why cant I hunt that pest in this area"

He does a great job promoting why hunting is important to people who don't hunt - which might make them start hunting, or maybe just stop them being antis which is good enough for me... he also does a podcast called meat eater. It's obviously very US focused and he can crap on a bit but the most recent one he interviews a statistician who did an experiment to figure out which arguments make non-hunters less opposed to hunting and which don't - what actually works to convince people. Long story short, if you say you hunt because you have since you were a kid and your family always did, no one gives a damn, if you say it's for food and you explain how regulated it is, more people come around to the same point of view.
