Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone had done any hunting in Olney State Forest?? Just got my R licence & that forest being nearby I thought I'd check it out.

Thanks VasHunter,

Just curious if there's much around up there & if there is any particular area to try or to avoid.

Cheers

Hi hammo,
Have been in there a few times, have seen some interesting wildlife.
Have entered via wollembi rd .Torrain is rough.Just watch out for other people camping and motorbike riders that shouldn't be there.
Usually 1 shot and all the motor cross riders and vehicles suddenly disappear.
Cheers,

Hi, just came across this forum today.. I have recently got my r license and went for a walk around olney today... Didn't see much. Managed to whistle a fox in to about 30metres which surprised me.. :D. Isthere any game to be taken in olney?? Or is it a bit of a waste of time going around there.. I used to find deer on my mates private property a couple of hours further south, but wondered if there were any round olney state forest? Just that it is my closest and it's always handy if you don't have to drive to far hey.. Thanks
