Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has gone or planning to go on a hog deer hunt in Victoria this season?

Would love to know what kind of kit you guys are using, camping or just day trips in to stalk. Anything really. I would love to learn more about hunting hog deer this one month a year.

Doesn't look like too many are targeting Hog Deer. From what I see, most in Vic are focused on Sambar and to a lesser extent, Red Deer.

A lot more nuisance value with hoggies, like having to take the complete carcass for inspection within 24hrs at one of three locations.

O r you can do a canned "hunt" for $6500...which doesn't include taking them for inspection.

My understanding is that they are the hardest to stalk, out of VIC veriety. And mortality rate at birth or thereabouts is much higher, making them somewhat more scarce. That's what I heard from people who go after them.

As for you, brother Bentaz, you STFU and wash that mouth of yours out with sope!
