Soooo, have solved the problem? And did you add some weight to the stock?

If you did add weight and find it a bit heavy try a Safari sling.

Looks like we have a convert to the safari sling!

Yeah, . It was very easy to convert a normal sling to Safari style. I will be trying it out next time I go for a long very slow walk.
Has great potential, cause it's always tempting to shoulder a rifle using a standard sling.

Hey mate so glad to see another 300blk shooter, I chose the calibre about 5 years ago also due to injuries and wanted less recoil and have had tremendous success on sambar.
My hunting is both private property in which I use thermal and state forest where I lay in wait on game trails in daylight hours, I use winchester deer season 150gr extreme points admitingly most shots are under 100 yards so placement is good, even big stags rarely go more than 50 yards or so after impact.
I have a second rifle set up with longer custom barrel and it's a gem on hoggies and fallow with hornady 110 vmax rounds out to 200 yards.
I also went to hornady custom lites in my 308 and fitted a muzzle brake and the recoil is at least halved.
Hope this helps because I am a huge believer in the 300blk for close range work.
