My first Shotgun was an Henry Martini action 1886 Greener and I was hopeless. What I started doing was going in the swamp and waiting in the water under cover.Down south it floods in winter and Ducks skim around all over the place.I started getting better and this is a true story,I was in the lake under cover and a pair flew in and I got the first one as they were coming in to land and I had a carry bag for the shotshells to keep them dry,It tumbled down towards me but I had time to cycle the action and get the other one on the way up again. The first one landed so close I opened the bag and it landed in it.I waded out and retrieved the second and my Buddy who did not like getting wet feet but was a brilliant shotgunner dryly declared "Your getting better"
