Low Tech Rabbit Call

I spent 5 seconds making one of these but have yet to see if Australian rabbits are as inquisitive as British ones seem to be.

Not for calling rabbits as such but I've tried it on Foxes.

The sucking is interesting. Might keep it in mind for foxes

Well the Aussie rabbit IS as inquisitive as their British cousins. Only got one as it was getting on to dark.
I'd really love to get a thermal sight, but hooly dooly, I'd have to sell a kidney to fund it.
Maybe even one of mine.

I've had a few rabbits come in when whistling foxes - personally wouldn't bother as it's easier to just shoot em where they are.

Yep, with ya there...!!

On the odd occasion i take someone out--as i did recently, they want to get as close as possible, even the likes of 10 metres to bunnies just so they dont miss them...
I like to start with one or two 100yd head shots to warm up, then push it out from there.
My warm-ups were 120, then 150 yds this last weekend.
I just wish my rifles (and myself) were accurate enough to start & get out a lot further.
The man who knows everything, doesnt really know everything...he's just stopped learning...
