Well today at the Seymour Black Powder Club I shot my BEST EVER off hand target with my 1911 built Winny 92 .44-40 with a score of 96!!!
Pity it was the wrong target for that event and didn’t count for diddly squat!
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.

I've spent a lot of time load testing for this lovely old thing and discovered completely by accident that it really, REALLY likes unsized cases. I would never have considered that option for a lever gun. They're just mouth expanded, pour in the powder seat and crimp the pure lead bullet.
Not even neck sizing is relatively common in single shot BP rifles and my Sharps prefers shells unsized with loose seated bullets.
