Sport shooting in south east Melbourne

Post by marcussaw » 11 Sep 2018, 11:35 am

Hi all,

I took my stepson a few times to a range (Springvale) as he said he would be interested in doing it as a sport (.22 rifle). He still is interested and he is really hooked about doing it.
I printed off all the information to do the safety course and apply for a license for the both of us. But where do I go from there a club anybody would recommend?
We live in Carrum Downs and the only club close by was in Lang Warren unfortunately i haven't been able to get in contact with them.
Or would it be better to join Springvale as a member?

Hopefully somebody can advice me in this.
Thank you!

SSAA membership gives "club" requirements for licensing, and makes you a member at Springvale for small bore requirements. However then you can choose to join one of the various clubs based at Springvale if you choose to do so. You can of course, then access any SSAA facility anywhere in Vic should you choose to do so.
