No leading with patched bullets as the lead never touches the bore.
You have to cast the bullets twice, first in a mould, then down range ;-)

If it was me I would not be happy with those big pieces of paper patch. Mine shreds the outer layer into strips. The inner is cut through but not shredded like the outer.
I think that paper is too thick but it shoots OK. I use thinner paper and a bigger (by a thou or two) bullet. The thinner paper shreds better and falls off the bullet quicker.
Good story about the ticket though.

I think it would be interesting to hear what other products besides paper , people have used for patching lead Bullets eg , something like the composition of a 50 dollar plastic note would b no good. It wood only melt. Paper is prob the obvious choice because of its availability and minimal cost

What about newspaper Blade...?

Or that very thin paper that is sometimes part of inner packaging for clothing...say...like is folded inside a shirt--they have cardboard in the collar, & that very thin whispy almost tissue like paper seperating layers of the shirt...?
:unknown:
Im just brainstorming here... :)

I just felt a paper bag that you put mushies in at the supermarket & that feels thinner than copy paper... :unknown:
