There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.
I took part in 6 events that are typically 10 shots in over 25 -50m. Targets are varied. Today we had a 1/8th standard (round) target (VERY hard); Reverse cat - i.e. back of the target and you have to remember where the scoring zone is; Standard round target; Reverse standard target; Rabbit, Cat; Reverse cat; Crow, Buffalo head, 1/2 standard target etc. some are A4 size and others are Standard target size. Also shot today were BP pistols BP cartridge rifles and BP shotguns. We shoot on the clubs own range just out of Nagambie.

What kind of events do you guys do out there on your black powder days?
All of the afore mentioned - plus there folks shooting BP pistols and shotguns as well BP cartridge rifles. One event was won by a bloke using a Snider built in 1867! Silouettes were being rung too though they're normally used on the medium range comp days and are shot from 200 -600m with Remington rolling blocks and Sharps rifles mostly and all with open sights only of course! We have a medium range shoot on the 30th of this month that I'll have a crack at with my Sharps. Will try and get some video footage to put up.
