Single Action State Titles in Mildura, March 2021

Post by Skinna » 25 Feb 2021, 5:26 pm

I think its on the weekend of March 6/7 (and surrounding dates).

Just curious.
Anyone here compete in this...?

I might be working out that way so was thinking of giving the foxes a rest for a night & driving up there for a look-see (at all the cowgirl costumes 8-) & slicked-up levers). & more seriously, maybe a snitty at the pub.

A friendly event...? :unknown:

G'day Skinna,
These folk are generally very friendly. How much time to be so at a major event is debatable but after the comps are done, for sure. Hopefully Dictator Dan won't find an excuse to cancel it, Cheers

If you're hoping for a bunch of "Daisy Duke" look-alikes, you'll be sadly disappointed.

Yes Gamerancher, im aware of what to expect in terms of a visual & costumes.
But could you imagine how popular the sport would be if some of these big sports shooting affiliations promoted it in such a way as to attract the "Daisy Duke's" & the like to the sport.
I mean they have the targets set at the right distances for beginners, so a retro 70's sexy cowgirl & buff rodeo blokey comp would be sure to bring in the masses to give it a go...(or massively vein anyway).

Sounds really good, I’d love to go to one of these events just to watch how it all works. But I won’t be able to make it up there that weekend sadly.
If you go, be sure to take some photos and post them here.

Funny I am getting a vision of that commercial on TV at the moment that depicts this huge woman taking part in cos play Vikings.

Yep, that's about what you'll see. Same type of sheila in "cowgirl" get up.
