For 25m you'll only need the lower magnification settings so even the cheaper units are going to be OK as long as the build quality is reasonable.
The big price increases as you go for better scopes gets you much better visual quality at high magnification as well as better build quality. If you were spotting silhouette or rifle out to 200m+ then the cheap scopes are going to be a disappointment but at 25m you really can get by very nicely with an entry level scope.

Is something like this OK or too cheap? Are those magnification numbers OK?

I wouldn't consider a low range scope.

I personally would recommend one with a view to potential future uses.
As to what to get, look through them and just like a rifle scope you are looking for a bright clear image, easy used focus and ocular zoom features. Ideally look through at a variety of distances from expected minimum distance to maximum expected/anticipated. Use the zoom on the ocular and note what it does for the brightness and sharpness. Also look for any colouration/tinge of colour around the edges of objects (I think photochromatic aberation is the term) which is common with cheaper ones.

I have a Vanguard (similar to this one on a the US site https://www.vanguardworld.com/collectio ... vor-xf-60a ) which was originally purchased for handgun silhouette spotting, but I have found I use it all the time from 25 to 200M, particularly with pistols (all my rifles have scopes).

Jeez.....what a boofhead

Here's some links....I don't know if they're all just Chinese junk out of the same factory or one of them would be ok for .22 holes at 25 metres? Appreciate any advice fella's .
