Fridays at Little River

Post by bladeracer » 03 Jan 2025, 7:22 pm

It's possible I might be in Geelong in two weeks. I'd like to duck out for a look at Little River Rifle Range while I'm up that way. Does anybody know whether they're open on Fridays? Anything likely to be happening that might be worth having a look at? Would I be able to have a walk through their cowboy town while I'm there?

Yes
Open, I think 0800 to 1700.
Having a look around the rifle ranges is probably not an issue, but the handgun ranges (IPSC, Silhouette, Single action, Big Game and shotgunning), are all beyond a boom gate. You may require permission to access, I am not sure, but for a look around, I would hope that it wouldn't be an issue.

Main range open 9am to 5pm.

The little river raiders cowboy action is beyond boom gate and whilst they shoot on Sundays not sure about Fridays.

Suggest you just ph the office and ask about the little river raiders and if they will be there on that day.

G'day bladeracer,
Just tell the office when you sign in that you will be going up to the pistol ranges and they will give you a ticket, just wave the barcode at the reader on the gate and it will open. I live nearby, happy to drop over and help you get around to look just drop me a message if you are going to go, Cheers.

I'll do that. I've found that office staff don't always know what the various clubs are doing though.

I'll do that No1Mk3.
It's for a funeral and there will be other family up there so I can swap Rose into somebody else's vehicle at Little River then go to the range for a look, or she can drop me at the range and continue into Geelong.
