Yep, your'e meant to be impressed. I don't give a *hit who he is supposed to be, it's a made up video. Projectile splatter regardless, someone else would have fired the "fatal shot". There is no contunity of video between the shot & the so called hit, there are breaks in the footage when looking at the target.
With the barrel angle when shot taken, the ammo specified by the 'so called' shooter - won't make 1000y, be closer to 500y/m when it hits ground. Recoil = mostly nothing, a 147gn pill shaped like a brick - to actually make it to 1000y should kick a bit.
I've tried 300m & you aim at the sky. Barrel length only gives a longer sight radius & being a revolver, got the cylinder gap losses.
To even make it look anything like real, he should have been pointing the muzzle/barrel up at least 15 - 25 deg, just to make anywhere near the distance.
I do not beleive it.
Browning did a 9mm somewhere about WW1 & WW2 with a 200m ladder sight, the pistols are now collectors items & you still (with full power loads) cannot reilably hit a 1 x 1m backer at 200m. When the ladder is at the 200m mark the barrel is at 14 deg from the horizontal.
As apollo stated "he's a yank"
