First Placing in a Competition Shoot

Post by Ladynoisy » 10 Aug 2014, 8:14 pm

Went to my local black powder club shoot today with Noisy and son of Noisy.

He graciously allowed me to use his 54 cal muzzle loader for the 'ladies only', 'Annie Oakly' shoot. I was quite surprised that he let me cause I outshot him all day with my trusty Winchester 92..lol

Anyway... I placed SECOND! My first ever placing in a Competion shoot. Shot at 50 metres, offhand!

Not so hard, although I was little nervy, not scared! Just remember, powder, patch, ball, in that order!!

Just had to gloat and rub Noisy's nose in it.

He had some feeble excuse for his poor showing but I'm sure he'll explain it himself. :D

I cant comment as a formal complaint has been lodged with the Appeals and Scoring Committee on the grounds that the bbq with the snags and onions on shouldn't have been started when the breeze was blowing towards the firing line thereby putting me off my aim and on the grounds that the scorers are all as blind as bats!
