Reply to some of the previous comments regarding "other forums". There were a few of us with our own ideas & we were very to the point on an "older forum" which due to certain cirumstances closed. During the 'closing down phase' quite a few of us moved to "WeLuvGod, aka ShootingAustralia" - un beknown to us the "GOD" had & probably still has, an adjenda of removing anyone "not in his inner circle" if you question anything. One of my comments was "if you have to start & fund a forum to get some friends, I feel sorry for you", I was then banned & removed with no warnings. I logged in by another name (the site rules forbid this, so what) & once discovered, got banned again. Once again with no warnings or any chance of finding out why. I assumed that I must have upset the owner on his PMS day.
Anyway, I and others, have moved on from that 'sand pit for toddlers' to other more mature forums where you can actually comment & not get banned. I must not have been such a bad boy on this forum because I have not got a warning yet, about my activities or comments here (or on the other sites I visit, use & attempt to assist).
Next "forum weekender" is in the local SSAA calander for the third weekend in Jan 2015, bring your swimmers & towel. There probably won't be much water in the creek running through range 1 but ---------- due to the weather we may end up living in swiming costume & haveing to carry a towel to wipe the sweat off, it current conditions continue, as per last year/previous seasons.
I started these "forum" shoots at my local range due to the lack of longer range facilities available in the Sydney basin. Discussions happened in 2011 & the first shoot in 2012, been happening since then, now up to 8, I think. Problem is/was, unless you shoot with MRCA at Malabar (some mates there) or 18th Batallion at Hornsby, you cannot shoot [legally] past about 50m on targets. The shoots were & are open to all, wether SSAA, APA, ARSA, NRA or whatever I have not seen yet, as long as you have a firearm licence (or someone trying a P650), all are welcome.
