What about a high velocity .223 or .204 into an empty beer can filled with water?

Flattens em right out for recycling.

Glad you posted that using an "empty beer can" one can never be to careful. What's the point of recycling, you have had the contents.

Eggs are another good one for the 22 fans, always a good challenge hitting em at 100m or so.

Potatoes are good with the 22 too because you can get up to 10 shots out of one target

We used to camp on a river and get someone to go upstream and float eggs down so we could shoot them with a 22. We were only about 20 metres back but the eggs moving and bobbing with the current was good practice for moving targets

The water bobbing's a clever idea for moving practice.

Props.

I wouldn't say that myself, fair potential for ricochets depending on the angle.

Ricochet off what mate? The body of water we were shooting into was about 3 metres wide and a good 1.5 metres deep. We did this a fair few times and never had a ricochet

Not specifically taking about the water you were shooting at, but generally not a good idea.

Did not think that would happen. You learn something new every day haha

I should mention too that we were shooting down into the water from a fair angle (not great with angles but I'd say roughly 30 degree) so I'd imagine the bullet is unlikely to ricochet like that

Thanks for the vid Scott

Your welcome mate, its all to do with angles shallower the angle the more chance of the bullet skimming on the water like the ol rocks we through as kids, steeper angles well they should be fine.
