Little River rifle range - Shooting metal plates?

Post by Releb » 04 Oct 2013, 12:08 pm

Hi guys,

I'm a Queensland shooter but am driving down to VIC this arvo to visit a mate for a few days.

A visit to the Little River shooting range is on the agenda... I haven't been there obviously as I live out of state so don't know the local range rules.

Am I good to bring down some metal plates for hanging and shooting? I know some ranges are a bit funny about what targets you're allowed to shoot in order to avoid potential ricochets from metal targets.

Couldn't get hold of my mate so I'm turning to the forum for advice before I bother lugging them down and can't use them.

Cheers.

Not sure about bring your own, FYI there are a few plates up at the range already.

Set up at 200m I think from memory...

There is one on a pole at the far right of the range. Not really any use though if want to see your work afterwards and you're not on that side of the range, and those tables fill up quickly.

Take your own if you've got them so you can set up targets where you want and don't have to trek across the range to see your hits.
